Building Surveys
Building Surveys are the most detailed inspection available, and are particularly suitable for unique properties, including older properties, listed buildings and properties altered or extended.
The report will include full details of all visible elements of the building and items of disrepair and defect. It examines all accessible parts of the property. It will also include information relating to the method of construction, condition of the structure and likely future repairs.
- Building Surveys also examine outbuildings, boundary walls and fencing as well as drainage systems.
Building Surveys are very comprehensive reports which include multiple photos of defects and the various elements of the property. An estimation of reinstatement cost for insurance purposes is not included and neither is a valuation but these can be provided as additional service if you require.
- You can ask to have specific areas included so that the report covers any particular concerns you have about the building. It is a product which can be tailored to your needs.
Clients are encouraged to meet with the surveyor at the property at the end of the survey to have a walk around and to discuss the main findings of the survey. This also provides the opportunity to raise any specific concerns. Such meetings are of course subject to the vendors approval.

I placed an order with Bevan Surveyors Limited. Excellent service. Mr Bevan carried out the survey within two working days of me instructing him & the report was ready in another 2 days. One of the problems I heard about surveyors is that the post survey service / responding to questions & concerns on the report is very poor, particularly after they have received their fees. But this is not the case with Mr Bevan. I left him a message that I needed to discuss some of the findings in his report & he called me back within half an hour to discuss in detail for the next 15-20 mins and clarified all my doubts. Complete peace of mind!!
