Just to let you know that we have ended up agreeing a reduced purchase price of £282,500 with the vendors / agent, so an improvement of £7,500 against Sam’s original offer. I placed an order with Bevan Surveyors Limited. Excellent service. Mr Bevan carried out the survey within two working days of me instructing him & the report was ready in another 2 days. One of the problems I heard about surveyors is that the post survey service / responding to questions & concerns on the report is very poor, particularly after they have received their fees. But this is not the case with Mr Bevan. I left him a message that I needed to discuss some of the findings in his report & he called me back within half an hour to discuss in detail for the next 15-20 mins and clarified all my doubts. Complete peace of mind!!

Bevan Surveyors were actually the first to contact me, on a Sunday too. After discussions regarding pricing structures I directed his company to act for me. I had one other contact 3 days after my initial enquiry which I politely declined.
